A Letter from the President

Hello Everyone,

I know that 2020 was a challenging year for massage therapists and has extended into 2021.  As we face these challenges, AMTA has been working to serve its members in any way to help the members and their needs. The Georgia Chapter has been meeting by phone and helping to continue to serve our chapter members along with National. As most of you know this is the time of year we usually have our state convention with our annual meeting and education. With our circumstances with COVID-19, we will not be meeting face to face this year. By now you should have already received your invitation to apply for positions on the board and to submit nominations for awards to therapist who have gone that extra mile for our profession and AMTA. If you haven’t already done so please go on our website and check out the opportunities. Candidate applications for board positions and awards are due February 27.

Some of you have expressed throughout the year “What is AMTA doing about the decisions of our profession, etc?” I invite you to come on board and see what we are doing behind the scenes.  We have several positions open and all our committees could use your support. Also if you or someone you know deserves one of the awards, let our awards committee know.   I thank you in advance for your your willingness to serve and look forward to hearing from you.

Vivian Davis, LMT, President, AMTA-Georgia Chapter
