The heart of the Georgia Chapter is our members. Your thoughts and opinions are important. When a poll or election notice comes to your email inbox, please fill them out so we know your are represented when the Board of Directors decides on class schedules, legislative action, or who will be our next leaders. If you have a general comment, simply fill out the contact box below, let us know your thoughts, and they will be forwarded to someone who can be of assistance. You can also donate to the chapter.
Public Relations Events
Whether manning a booth or providing complimentary massage, volunteering for events is not only good for the chapter and the profession, it’s an opportunity to bring your enthusiam to the public, to pass out your business cards to reach more potential clients. It is also a way to learn more about AMTA. Here are some of the events the chapter has hosted in the past..
- Seated massage at the Capitol.
- Seated massage and a County Commissioners meeting.
- McKeever’s Last Ride
- The Georgia Games
We are also exploring a multistate emergency massage team.

Stepping up to elected office allows you a bigger part in the future of our profession. Board members vote for actions and policies. The following positions are elected for two year terms. Sometimes vacant seats become available and either the Board or the Chapter elects them, and they must run at the next annual meeting to continue.

The Assembly of Delegates is a group of experienced elected chapter members whose purpose is to provide input on items of interest for the association as it relates/impacts their state, as outlined in policy. They meet online and at the AMTA National Convention. Their function is being developed by National.
Georgia will be sending two delegates. Delegates are elected by the chapter and serve a two-year term.
